This is my best shot at providing a baby picture of Zac but now you can see where Cael got those sweet cheeks!
I love that picture of Zac and enjoy seeing that smiling face hanging in the hallway of his mom's house. We seriously considered taking a picture of Cael in a barrel as a tribute to the photo studio stylings of the late 1970s.
Anyway, back to Zac's birthday. We celebrated with dinner at Mooyah ...
... where Cael enjoyed his time at the chalkboard.
We then headed home for cupcakes and singing (Cael requested "Row, row, row your boat" so that was Zac's birthday song this year).
Zac's birthday was capped off with a fun visit from his brother, Clay and his family. Cael was ecstatic to get some play time in with his cousins, Addie and Ava!
It was a very fun day to celebrate a guy who is such a wonderful husband and father. Zac takes great care of our family and keeps us laughing every day. I couldn't have asked for a better partner in life.
OK, now back to the little guy. As I was pulling these photos off my iPhone I realized how many other fun pictures we had from the past few weeks. Below are a few of my favorites:
Santa Cael was photographed at school. You know he would have never worn a Santa hat AND smiled if his mom was taking the picture!
Cael was not up for posing with Santa at the mall but he loved the play area. We pray this is the only way in which Cael is ever inside a Lewisville police cruiser.
Cael became quite passionate about 2 new activities in the past few weeks:
Making coffee for mom (the first word out of his mouth many mornings is "coffee" ... I've been pressured into drinking more morning coffee than I ever do!) ...
... and showering. The kid LOVES to take a shower and happily keeps himself busy in there. He enjoys the lower wall jets ("little showers" as we call them) and as you can see they serve equally as drinking fountains while he's in there.
My Chicagoland friends should be able to appreciate this one. Do you remember those big, white Mistletoe bears that Marshall Fields had in the '80s? Well, my mom gifted mine to Cael and he loved that bear ... and obviously loved his cold weather accessories too.
We'll close with this little video ... as you can see Cael is talking up a storm and keeps us very entertained these days. We are enjoying happy times in 2013 so far!
